Emergency and storm tree work
If a tree or large branch has fallen, or is hanging over your house, car or driveway, call Wayne on 0412 708 072. We make it safe first, then remove it and clean up. In big storms we deal with the most dangerous jobs first. If anyone is hurt or a power line is down, call 000, and stay at least 8 m away from fallen lines.

In a big storm, we triage
When a storm hits Sydney, every tree service’s phone rings at once. We work through the calls by danger: trees on houses, across the only way out, or threatening people come first; trees across lawns and fences come after. If your job isn’t urgent we’ll tell you honestly when we can get there, and we’ll check it’s safe in the meantime.
What not to do
- Don’t go near fallen power lines, or anything touching them, including wet ground, fences and the tree itself.
- Don’t cut a tree under tension. A trunk pinned against a house or bent under load can spring back violently when cut.
- Don’t touch council trees, even if they are on your property. Report them.
- Don’t let anyone without insurance do the work. Storms bring out door-knockers with chainsaws. Ask for their public liability certificate.
How it works
What happens, step by step.
No surprises on the day. You'll know what we're doing and why before we start.
Get everyone clear
Keep people and pets away from the tree and anything it's resting on. Don't try to cut a tree that's under tension; the trunk can spring back.
Power lines? Call the network first
If the tree is touching or has brought down a line, stay at least 8 m away and call Ausgrid on 13 13 88 or Endeavour Energy on 131 003, depending on your area. Nobody should touch it until the power is off.
Call us
Tell us what's down, what it's on and whether access is blocked. Photos help us bring the right gear.
Make safe, then clean up
We secure or remove the immediate danger first. The full removal, stump and clean-up can follow once it's safe.
Your insurance claim
Take photos before anything is moved. We can give you an itemised invoice and photos of the work for your insurer.

Road closure and crane lift

Questions
Storm & emergency: common questions.
Do I need council approval to remove a tree that fell in a storm?
A tree that has already fallen, or is imminently dangerous, can generally be made safe straight away. But most councils ask you to keep evidence, such as photos and sometimes an arborist's note, and some want to be told within a set number of days. Your council's page has the details.
Who removes a council street tree that has fallen on my property?
Street and park trees are the council's. Report it to your council, or to the SES on 132 500 in a storm emergency. Don't cut a council tree yourself.
Will my insurance pay for tree removal?
Many home policies cover removing a tree that has damaged the house, and some cover removal even without damage, up to a limit. Check your policy's storm section, photograph everything and call your insurer early.
How quickly can you get here?
It depends on the weather and how many calls are coming in. We're a Sutherland Shire business, so we're close to most of southern Sydney and work right across Sydney. In a major storm we triage: a tree on a house or blocking the only way out comes before a tree across a lawn.
